EGU ‘Community‘ blossoms

Approaching 1,000 clubs have now joined the Email information sharing service provided free by the EGU, known as the EGU Community

Member clubs now have the facility to tap into the knowledge and experience of hundreds of fellow golf clubs on a massive range of golf club management topics. Questions from clubs are sent to the Community via the EGU’s Golf Services Department. The replies go direct to the club asking the question and are then archived on the Community Website www.englishgolfunion.org/community.
Clubs are also using the Community to buy and sell surplus items such as snooker tables, coffee vending machines and lockers. Where appropriate, clubs are also encouraged to access the services of the Association of Golf Club Secretaries and the National Golf Clubs Advisory Association.
Neil Cockbill EGU golf services secretary said, “We have quietly gone about the business of providing support and guidance to clubs over the years. The ‘Community‘ gives us another string to our bow and the opportunity to communicate efficiently with our affiliated clubs.”
Clubs wishing to join should contact community moderator, Stephen Payne at community@englishgolfunion.net
