The English Golf Union and English Ladies‘ Golf Association have launched a new website, www.getintogolf.org designed especially to attract new golfers to the game and to provide continued support for novice golfers.
Content includes essential information on what you need to play golf, how and where you can learn the game as well as advice on further opportunities to play. For those golfers who are looking to take a more serious interest in the game the website explains how to go about getting a handicap, joining a club and provides other features such as coaching tips and an online forum.
Richard Flint, EGU golf development manager, said, “Golf is unique as a sport, offering lifelong participation, and we want as many people as possible to experience it. The ‘Get into Golf‘ website supports the significant development work undertaken by the EGU and ELGA by making it easier for people of all ages to discover how easy it is to enjoy the game.”
Information specifically for golf club secretaries and managers, junior organisers and professionals regarding EGU and ELGA grass roots development initiatives can still be found on their main websites, www.englishgolfunion.org and www.englishladiesgolf.org
