henley phone imageHenley Golf Club in Oxfordshire is the first club to start using the upgraded Eagle app for its members. The app’s proving to be exactly what club manager Gary Oatham wants as well, because it’s by far the easiest way for him to update and add new content i.e. words and images. Innovative and unique features like Book The Pro, Noticeboard and Team Manager promise to revolutionise the Henley members’ experience.

Installing the Eagle app has already enabled Gary to ditch the printed club diary and its expense. He put this idea to his committee and found they all supported this move and investing in the app instead, as Gary explains, “Installing our Eagle app will save us thousands of pounds on printed diaries, and instead of it being out of date by the time it’s printed, now when our members go into the app’s Fixtures tab, they will now see amended dates as soon as I update them.”

After struggling with trying to update websites, Gary has found the app is simplicity itself to update, as he explains, “The thing I like best from the club manager’s point of view is that it’s so easy to update and add new content on the Eagle app. Two taps on my smartphone, or a couple of clicks on my desktop, and I’m writing the words for a news story, or uploading a photo. Time’s the enemy in my job, and the app saves me time compared to struggling with a website’s members’ pages.”

New Eagle app features: Book The Pro, Noticeboard and Team Manager

Book The Pro gives club members a direct line into making lesson appointments in the club pro’s online diary. This offers a massive marketing benefit and for modest additional fees payable by the members all sorts of other features can be accessed such as swing tips, video-based swing analysis, video sharing, iPad versions, student records and so on, as it is based on Eagle’s partnering with Golf e-Services well proven online system for coaching professionals.

Noticeboard is the online version of a club’s notice board with sections for the manager, bar or hospitality, catering, greenkeeping, etc. to post messages. By showing the number of unread posts, the app will push members to check for updated news.

Team Manager means match managing members can set up their teams from within the app with automatic e-mail confirmations to chosen individuals, reducing match organisation to a matter of a few taps and much less of a headache.

Multiple sponsor brand exposure

Massive brand exposure is guaranteed via the Banner drop down that appears for a few seconds each time the user returns to the home screen, and this degree of online brand exposure to a club’s membership will help leverage significant sponsorship deals.

A new cost-effective income stream and improved membership services for 2014

Add sponsorships to the savings on diaries, and the Eagle app will both earn significant additional income as well as provide any club with the ultimate membership communications tool.

Gary is convinced that the Eagle app is the key to successful communications with the members, as he comments, “The Eagle app will encourage more and more of our members to engage, communicate, and make the club part of their lifestyles.”
