Bayer inviteOn 30 July, the Manchester Golf Club will host the second in a series of educational workshops for greenkeepers, where they will be able to learn how healthy, firm and smooth greens can be achieved this year.

The series of free, one-day educational and practical workshops are being provided through a partnership with Bayer, Keith Kensett and STRI who are speaking on organic matter reduction and STRI performance testing.

“These workshops have been designed specifically for Turf Managers, with the aim of providing practical, relevant and timely advice. We received really positive feedback from attendees at the first workshop, with the majority saying they felt it was a very informative day and will prove useful,” comments Bayer’s Product Manager, Claire Matthewman.

The day will incorporate talks and practical demonstrations from industry professionals, including Keith Kensett (Graden), in association with Charterhouse Turf Machinery, who will provide a demonstration on organic matter control. They will also show how it’s possible to achieve outstanding results with only one renovation a year.

Bayer will present the latest research on StressGard™ Formulation Technology and how it can help Turf Managers in their strive for healthy turf; and finally Limagrain UK, will discuss how to obtain the best results from grass seed mixtures in fine turf. Spaces for the workshops are being allocated on a first come, first served basis. BASIS points are available for the day.

Greenkeepers wishing to reserve a space for any of the workshops are asked to contact Ilenia Vidili (email address below) or call 01223 226557. A full agenda and timings will be sent to delegates in advance of the meeting, and breakfast and lunch will be provided.

There will be three more workshops held in various locations during August, these will be Bristol Golf Club on 8 August, Surrey National Golf Club on 15 August and a final event at Deer Park Golf Club, date still to be confirmed.
