Accountancy Matters Announce More Guest Speakers

Golf Accountancy Matters have announced that Ben Hoskin, MD of Regency Purchasing, and Alex Demetriou, CEO of Foodbuy UK, will be presenting at their Workshop & Golf Business Conference at Kingswood Golf & Country Club in Surrey, on Thursday 27th February.

As CEO of Foodbuy UK & Ireland, Alex is responsible for all purchasing businesses operating within the division of Foodbuy Group. Alex’s career began at a young age, when he worked in kitchens within his family’s catering businesses. He then went on to own and operate several hospitality and event businesses.

He created Regency Purchasing Group as a mechanism to consolidate purchasing and secure more competitive pricing for his family’s own 15 sites. Today, the business is headed up by Managing Director Ben Hoskin and has developed into a cross-category support service for the hospitality and leisure industry, with over 7,500 members.

Ben joined the team at Regency in 2009 as Procurement Manager, having spent many years working in the on-trade beer industry. After four successful years with the company, Ben was promoted to National Sales Manager and five years later, Ben took on the role of Sales Director managing the largest network of procurement managers in the UK. In January 2022, after almost 13 years with Regency, Ben was appointed Managing Director.
