Zen to host PGA Tour experts in Sheffield on July 13th

11.05am 3rd July 2024 - Innovation Centre

On Saturday 13th July Zen Golf is hosting an all-day industry-only event where PGA Tour coaches will explain how they use gradients to enhance both putting and full swing coaching.

16 places are available, and the event takes place in the new Zen Studio in Sheffield, the UK’s first indoor golf centre designed around multiple moving floors.

Dr Scott Lynn will give insights into his work with players such as 2024 U.S. Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau by demonstrating Swing Catalyst force plates on the adjustable Zen Swing Stage, using the Trackman 4 launch monitor.

Dr Paul Hurrion will describe how he works with three-time Major winner Padraig Harrington, by demonstrating the Quintic Overhead Putt Tracker integration with the Zen Green Stage, which creates millions of different breaking putts on a laboratory-true surface.

And there will be appearances via live Q&A webcam from the world’s most celebrated putting coach Phil Kenyon, who works with world #1 Scottie Scheffler, and from Darren May, the PGA Tour golf coach based at the ultra-exclusive Grove XXIII in Florida, as both prepare for this month’s Open Championship.

Tickets cost £97 and are available at https://zen.golf/event/zen-open-studio-day/.

Lynn, Hurrion, May and Kenyon all use gradients created by Zen’s moving floors in their coaching.

Phil Kenyon says: “The Zen Green Stage has joined launch monitors as one of the essentials for the modern golf studio. I now give better lessons because I have it.”

“You can absolutely change someone’s Swing Path, Angle Of Attack, Swing Direction and Swing Plane just by moving the ground with Zen Swing Stage” says Darren May. “And the great thing about it is that you can be very specific regarding the degree to which you are moving that slope, and the player can feel that while it’s changing.”

The Zen Studio event takes place immediately after the World Scientific Congress of Golf 2024, where over 100 of the leading technical minds in golf will gather in conference at Loughborough University to discuss all aspects of golf science.

Interactive demonstrations of both Zen Green Stage / Quintic and Zen Swing Stage / Swing Catalyst will be available for WSCG24 delegates to experience in Loughborough during the conference.
