Club de Golf Alcanada, widely regarded as the best golf course in Mallorca, and one of the finest in Spain, has completed a multi-product installation of the world’s number-one driving range technology, Toptracer Range.
The golf club – which will play host to the European Challenge Tour’s Grand Final in 2022 – becomes the first driving range to be powered by Toptracer technology in Mallorca, in what is a landmark installation for golf on the island.
The Club’s Alcanada Golf Academy will now offer golfers a refined, high-tech practice experience, following the installation of 10 monitor bays, along with 30 metres of Toptracer Range Mobile enabled grass tee along the front of the range.
“Club de Golf Alcanada is widely regarded as the Balearic’s premier golf destination,” said Toptracer president Ben Sharpe. “The driving range, with its already fantastic setting and the new additions of our monitor and mobile solutions, is a truly pristine facility. We’re very pleased to have the opportunity to partner with such a prestigious Spanish club.”
Kristoff Both, director of golf at Club de Golf Alcanada, commented on the new install: “It is a very exciting time for Alcanada to be adding Toptracer technology to our driving range. Whilst we already have a strong offering for golfers who visit, this is only going to further the experience that players can enjoy while here.
“We have seen what the screens and the technology can do alongside the app, and we can’t wait to hear the feedback that golfers have for us about the system.”
Golfers visiting Alcanada will have access to Toptracer Range’s full repertoire of game modes, including Virtual Golf at the likes of Pebble Beach and St. Andrews, along with other accuracy-based modes such as Closest to the Pin or Long Drive, among others.
As the clear market-leader and pioneer of driving range technology, Toptracer and its range partners, including Club de Golf Alcanada, have revolutionised the golf practice experience, bringing a previously unimaginable golf experience for newcomers, along with advanced data-driven practice sessions for experienced golfers worldwide.
