SkyTrak gets huge v5.0 upgrade as 10th anniversary nears

10.31am 5th July 2024 - Innovation Centre - This story was updated on Monday, July 8th, 2024

SkyTrak and SkyTrak+ owners have received a huge free upgrade with the launch of the brand’s comprehensive Version 5.0 software update.

At the same time, a £500-off promotion on SkyTrak+, which expires on Monday 22nd July, gives golfers even more incentive to consider adding a SkyTrak to their home setup, this month.

v5.0 gives many parts of SkyTrak a fresh new look with a brand-new user interface, but the key improvements go well beyond new graphics.

A host of new features include the launch of the stunning SkyTrak Course Play, which for the first time sees SkyTrak offer its own large collection of simulated golf courses including the iconic Pebble Beach and 2025 PGA Championship host venue, Quail Hollow.

Five spectacular new Practice Ranges are also now available to add excitement to your daily SkyTrak practice sessions.

The v5.0 update is the most dramatic in SkyTrak’s history, and takes place as the launch monitor approaches its 10th anniversary. The upgrade takes SkyTrak well clear of its rivals in the affordable personal launch monitor / simulator category, with the multiple award-winning original SkyTrak currently sitting at an exceptionally competitive sub-£1k price point (RRP £995).

The newer SkyTrak+ sits at a reduved £2,495 until July 22nd (normal RRP £2,995) ad adds a host of advanced performance features including Dual Doppler radar, club data, outdoor play and a powerful internal processor.

As always, both versions of SkyTrak offer comprehensive driving range practice features free of charge, but fundamental to the v5.0 update is the creation of a new SkyTrak Essential membership package.

Available for an annual fee of £129.95, the Essential package now unlocks the full potential of SkyTrak including the new Practice Ranges, a host of game-improving Training and Feedback features, and the ability to upgrade your SkyTrak system by purchasing the new Course Play add-on plus additional connections to third party software such as the E6 Golf Connect and WGT golf course simulators.

“The Version 5.0 update and the creation of the Essentials package are significant milestones for the SkyTrak range” said James Holmes, Director of Sales and Operations EMEA. “They give you more fun, more game-improvement tools, amazing new graphics and if you upgrade to Essentials then our new Course Play package now gives you world-class golf simulation without having to leave the SkyTrak app – all with ultra-realistic ball flight characteristics developed exclusively by SkyTrak itself.

“This is the best-ever version of SkyTrak, by far. Existing SkyTrak users should simply update their app, and all customers should visit SkyTrak’s UK website at https://uk.skygolf.com to browse all the details, including instructions on how to get the latest add-ons including the Essential membership, which we recommend for everybody.

“Version 5.0 is PC-only at the moment but we are working hard to introduce the iOS update as soon as possible.”

Holmes ended by saying: “If you don’t own one yet, this is definitely the perfect time to get into SkyTrak, whether for home use or if you are a golf coach. The original SkyTrak is currently at its lowest-ever price, the SkyTrak+ has set a new high standard for affordable personal launch monitors – and is on offer until July 22nd. – and both models are enormously improved by this amazing Version 5.0 software update!”
