Women’s Golf Day switched to June 3 following BlackOut Tuesday

Plans to host a virtual Women’s Golf Day’s were put on hold yesterday (June 2) by organisers after Blackout Tuesday, an initiative to go silent on social media in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, was implemented across the world.

The plan to upload entertaining videos from across the world of golf, social media engagement and a global charity auction supporting Médecins sans Frontiers have now been moved to today (June 3), with all the same events shifted on 24 hours.

The physical event is currently scheduled to take place on September 1st, subject to international healthcare guidelines. In 2019, over 900 locations in 52 countries held WGD events.
