The Grove hosted the inaugural ‘Fore! The Women’s Game’ event – a landmark day celebrating the rise, representation and future of women in golf.

The exclusive gathering held at the Hertfordshire venue on July 22, welcomed influential women from across golf, lifestyle and sport, reaffirming The Grove’s position as a leading supporter of growth, empowerment and visibility for women in the game.

A plethora of female content creators were joined by the likes of former Olympic heptathlon champion Denise Lewis and fellow Olympian Goldie Sayers, alongside actress and presenter Denise Van Outen. Coming together for a day of golf at The Grove, though more crucially to collaborate and shine a light on the women’s game, the aim was for attendees to help broaden golf’s reach to new audiences and emphasise the importance of community within sport.

Denise Van Outen said: “It has been an incredible day at The Grove, not just enjoying the game, but being surrounded by so many inspiring women who are moving golf forward. The Grove has created an environment where women’s golf continues to be elevated, and events like this are so important in showing what’s possible when inclusion and ambition come together.”

For The Grove, the day is yet another example of the dedication the resort shows to the women’s game. As a proud signatory to The R&A’s Women in Golf Charter, an initiative centred around developing a more inclusive culture within golf round the world, the Hertfordshire-based venue continues to demonstrate its long-term commitment to equality and inclusivity in golf.

The Grove has also championed elite women’s competitions over the years, hosting the Rose Ladies’ Series Finale back in 2023, an event created by former US Open champion Justin Rose, and his wife Kate Rose, designed to provide opportunities for female golfers to showcase their world-class talent at the highest level.

With a strong, visible female workforce across all departments, The Grove prides itself on leading by example through its culture of empowerment and inclusion.

The Women’s Game’ has been truly inspiring. From content creators to sporting icons, each attendee brought energy, insight, and a shared passion for driving progress in golf. Events like this are vital in not only celebrating how far the women’s game has come but also in shaping an inclusive and exciting future for the next generation. At The Grove, we remain committed to championing equality and creating opportunities for women to thrive at every level of the sport.”
