Husqvarna, a global leader in outdoor power products and robotic mowers, has raised over £15,000 for Faldo Futures via a star-studded golf invitational held at The Berkshire Golf Club in Ascot.

A host of sporting talent from past and present was in attendance to support the foundation – including ex-premier league and England internationals Jay Bothroyd, Wayne Bridge and Joe Cole, in addition to Tubes (Soccer AM), TV personality Mark Wright and golfing star Iona Stephen – all of whom contributed to the Faldo Futures initiative.

The Faldo Futures initiative, which boasts alumni such as five-time major champion Rory McIlroy, is designed to introduce young players to the game, alongside an advanced education programme built to enhance their skills. At its heart, it’s a junior golf series aimed at encouraging participation and retention of young golfers aged 7-12 – designed to be inclusive, with no handicap requirements and a focus on making the game accessible to all children.

Sir Nick Faldo, who hosted a long-game clinic for guests at the Husqvarna Invitational, said: “It’s incredible to have this significant support for the Faldo Futures foundation from Husqvarna – a company that is committed to the future of golf through its support for the DP World Tour, key figures from the game and the robotic innovation it delivers for greenkeepers. It’s been great to play and talk with some incredible retired football icons today too – whose contributions will help the future generation of our wonderful game.”

Husqvarna, who also delivered a major contribution and commitment to the Faldo Futures initiative, continues to strengthen its support for the game at large – recently demonstrated by significant partnership agreements with the DP World Tour, and major ambassadors such as Sir Nick Faldo, Iona Stephen, Golf Life, Outtaboundz and Mark Wright.

Samantha Donnelly, Senior Marketing Manager at Husqvarna, said: “Our connections to sport are deeply rooted. We have a rich history in supplying some of the world’s best golf courses and football pitches with best-in-class robotic mowers and equipment, and through this, we’ve built a strong connection and commitment to the industry. It’s brilliant to see our network of sporting stars combine to raise money, alongside us, for this incredible cause. The work of the Faldo Futures initiative is so important for the future of the game and we’re proud to be partnering with Sir Nick to support it.”

Alongside its major sport partnerships, Husqvarna continues to set the benchmark for the future of golf course maintenance – providing world-leading robotic mower technology to some of the game’s most iconic venues. Innovations such as the Husqvarna CEORA and Automower 550 EPOS automatically cut the rough and fairways, offering cost and emission-friendly technology that can free up time for staff to spend more maintaining greens, bunkers and other key areas of the golf course.
