Golf Car UK delights EDGA golfers with disability

12.15pm 28th May 2021 - Growing the Game

When four women golfers with disability teed it up in the ‘EDGA Mini Series’ during the Rose Ladies Series event at Brockenhurst Manor Golf Club this month, they were greatly supported by the UK’s largest independent golf buggy supplier, Golf Car UK.

When EDGA told Golf Car UK that its players needed buggies to compete on the beautiful but challenging golf course in England’s New Forest, the Wiltshire-based firm were only too happy to provide four high-spec E-Z-GO RXV Elite Lithium golf buggies to the EDGA team for the event.

The four EDGA competitors – Aimi Bullock, Nicky Weeks, Fiona Haslam and Emma Millward – all play golf to a high standard. Thanks to the Rose Ladies Series, which is doing so much for the profile of women’s golf, they are competing in an EDGA Mini-Series tournament during summer 2021.

Aimi Bullock, who is also EDGA’s Development Director, thanked Golf Car UK for their vital support and is in no doubt that the series of matches will help raise awareness of the huge benefits for girls and women with a disability in getting involved in golf.

“We were absolutely delighted when Golf Car UK supplied four of their excellent E-Z-GOs for us to use” she said. “The GCUK Managing Director, Chris Ivess-Mash, heard that we were struggling to find a supplier, and he and his team went the extra mile to help provide the buggies. The girls and I were proud to drive the golf cars bearing the EDGA logo for all to see on the day. Golf Car UK did a brilliant job!”

Golf Car UK is an authorised UK Dealer for E-Z-GO and Cushman Golf and Utility vehicles, supplying a wide range of electric, petrol and diesel models.

EDGA golfers will compete in two more Rose Ladies Series events in September, at North Hants Golf Club and The Buckinghamshire Golf Club, where once again Golf Car UK will provide E-Z-GO golf buggies for EDGA competitors.
