Faldo Virtual Series launches in partnership with Trackman

1.34pm 29th January 2025 - Growing the Game

Children across the world can now play in Sir Nick Faldo’s international junior series more easily thanks to a new initiative between Trackman and The Faldo Series.

The Faldo Virtual Series launched on January 1 and has already seen hundreds of children sign up, each playing for the chance to play in a real Faldo Grand Final.

For almost 30 years, Sir Nick has put his name and effort into the Faldo International Series, where children from primarily the UK, Europe and Asia can compete and have great experiences. Now, thanks to advanced Trackman technologies, children can compete at one of 25,000 Trackman simulator venues worldwide in the first ever global golf tournament for juniors.

Open to children and young adults aged 7 to 21 years of age, the Virtual Series includes three month-long tournaments stretching across January, February and March 2025. Boys and girls will compete in their own age and gender categories, with global winners in each qualifying for the Faldo Series Grand Final. Prizes and will go down to 8th place, in addition to fun competitions such as Closest to the Pin and a random Lucky Draw to play in the British Masters Pro-Am at The Belfry in August.

In January, the Virtual Series takes place over the Old Course at St Andrews. In February, it moves to Wentworth’s famous West Course, before moving in March to the Reserve course at Moonlight Basin, USA.

The series is being powered by Trackman’s Virtual Golf technology, which provides ultra-realistic course simulations and performance tracking. Players tee off on digital versions of the course, with precise ball flight physics and conditions that replicate real-world gameplay.

With a one-time entry fee of $10, participants can play as many times as they want, with the best score from all their attempts counting to tournament.
