Royal Automobile Club adopts Golfhub software to enhance course maintenance operations

Led by Course Manager Iain Dye, the club is utilising Golf Hub as a centralised digital repository for all course-related information, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning.

The Royal Automobile Club has become the latest UK golf venue to adopt the Golf Hub software platform, using it to document both winter works and ongoing maintenance programmes across its golf courses.

Led by Course Manager Iain Dye, the club, which is based at Woodcote Park in Surrey, is utilising Golf Hub as a centralised digital repository for all course-related information, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning. Known for embracing modern technology, Dye identified the platform as an ideal solution to house critical course data in one secure and accessible system.

Through Golf Hub, the Royal Automobile Club is now storing detailed irrigation plans, records of principal services such as pipelines, sand and gas infrastructure, alongside topographic surveys that will inform future course projects. The system also contains a recent full course measurement completed ahead of official certification, ensuring key documentation is easily accessible when required.

One of the platform’s most valuable features for the club has been its ability to compare historical changes across the course. By overlaying survey data from different years, Dye and his team can directly analyse how the course has evolved over time — a powerful tool for reflection, evaluation and future decision-making.

“For us, Golf Hub isn’t just a piece of software — it’s a central information hub,” said Dye. “Having all our course data in one place has improved consistency, streamlined planning and helped the team make quicker, more informed decisions.”

The Royal Automobile Club’s adoption of Golf Hub highlights a growing trend among leading clubs to embrace digital solutions that enhance transparency, operational efficiency and long-term course stewardship.

“We’re delighted to welcome the Royal Automobile Club to Golf Hub,” said Steve Richardson, Managing Director of Clere Golf. “Iain’s forward-thinking approach and commitment to best practice perfectly reflect what the platform was designed to support. The way the club is using Golf Hub sets a benchmark for how technology can support modern course management.”
