Minchinhampton Golf Club has taken delivery of 13 John Deere professional groundcare machines from the Tallis Amos Group (TAG) as the Cotswold venue continues to invest in its golf course.
Following the success of its John Deere fleet purchase in 2020, the club’s management team had no hesitation in turning to TAG once again for reliable, high-performance machinery and trusted support. Tailored to meet the needs of the greenkeeping team, the new machinery equips them for maintaining the club’s renowned premier playing surfaces.
“We’re delighted to continue working with Minchinhampton Golf Club,” said Alex Jones, Group Golf Sales Manager at TAG. “The greenkeeping team takes great pride in the immaculate presentation of its courses, and we’re pleased they can maintain their high standard of fairways and greens with a new fleet of reliable, high-performance John Deere machinery.”
John Stewart, Courses Manager at Minchinhampton, said: ‘The decision to repurchase with TAG was driven by the durability of the machines and their back up support. The new machinery was selected not only for its exceptional performance but because the club has received outstanding after-sales support provided by TAG’s team of fully manufacturer-trained technicians.’
The equipment supplied included four 6500A-E Lightweight Fairway Mowers, three 2750E Triplex Greens Mowers, three HPX815E Gators, a 2030A ProGator with HD200 Sprayer, and a Z994R Zero Turn Mower.

Stewart added: “The new kit has already made a difference. Our team of 17 greenkeepers rely on a robust, cutting-edge fleet and we are really impressed by the customer service and backup from the team at TAG. They are always there when we need them and now, we have the added benefit of the John Deere Operations Centre for ease of management and improved efficiency, saving time and costs.”
Minchinhampton is moving towards smarter turf management, with all the cutting machines installed with JDLink for telematics information, giving real-time location data, along with information on fuel consumption and machine usage so that the club can easily monitor and compare fleet performance, plan and analyse operational data at any time through John Deere’s connected support Operations Centre app on desktop or mobile.
