The Heron Country Club in Essex has taken a bold step toward sustainability by deploying seven Belrobotics robotic mowers across its 27-hole course and driving range.

Known for its scenic parkland layout, the Brentwood-based club is now enhancing its turf management with cutting-edge technology that promises healthier grass, reduced emissions, and improved operational efficiency.

The automated Belrobitics mowers, installed by AMS Robotics, work daily to maintain the fairways, allowing groundskeepers to focus on other tasks like landscaping and irrigation.

Club director Alex Bartlett said: “We have worked with AMS for a number of years since their installation of robotic mowers at our driving range, and they have recently expanded their service of robotic mowers to all 27 fairways on the golf course. The automation has resulted in improved grass quality and savings in resources and reduced energy bills.”
