Women’s Golf Day to host panel discussion at PGA Show

Attendees at this year’s PGA Show in Orlando are invited to attend a panel discussion hosted by the founder of Women’s Golf Day using clips and topics taken from the recently released film Breaking with Tradition that examines the relationship between women and golf at every level of the game.  

The WGD panel will be moderated by Elisa Gaudet, founder of Women’s Golf Day, and include speakers from the PGA, PGA TOUR Superstore, The R&A, Titleist/FootJoy, Callaway and the USGA. Register your interest in attending the panel here:  PGA Show 2023 – Womens Golf Day

The topics to be discussed are Connection, What’s Holding Women Back and Brands. The film, Breaking With tradition, which written by Nicole Wheatley, who will be in attendance, and produced by Sandra Mesrine, looks at what has changed for women in golf and highlights the changes that can foster a more inviting environment and generate more interest and revenue for golf courses.  

The PGA Show panel will also discuss best practices that have helped equal the playing field and create positive change, and what can be done do to encourage more women to enter the golf industry work force. 

Other major announcements at the show by WGD will include the first significant change to the structure of Women’s Golf Day since its launch, as it becomes a weeklong celebration. Locations are now able to host an official WGD event on any day from May 30 to June 6. 

The 2022 Women’s Golf Day Inspire Action Awards, which are presented annually to people and locations who actively support and promote the women’s game, will also be announced at the PGA Show on Tuesday, January 26.
