The UK Golf Course Owners Association is hosting a Networking reception for golf course owners and operators during BTME 2015 at 5pm on Wednesday 21 January in The Heritage Lounge of the Royal Hall which is attached to the Harrogate International Centre.
Steve Chappell, Head Greenkeeper of the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles, will provide a fascinating insight into the greenkeeping side of hosting the Ryder Cup 2014. There will also be a brief update on UKGCOA activities in relation to current issues to golf course owners (VAT could well be discussed), but generally this will be an opportunity for golf course owners and operators to network with like-minded individuals for an hour or two in an informal environment with a couple of free drinks.
This event is the first of a number of invitation only events the UKGCOA is planning to hold during 2015 – the full events calendar will be published early in 2015.
BIGGA CEO Jim Croxton said: “It’s great that the UKGCOA are in town during what promises to be an excellent week, and it reaffirms our belief that BTME is the place to be for golf club managers and owners.”
In the meantime, if you would like to attend the drinks reception at Harrogate, please confirm your attendance to debbie@ukgcoa.com, so that an invitation can be sent. Please respond quickly as places are limited.
