Ransomes Jacobsen, The Grass Group, D J Turfcare, Dennis & Sisis and BLEC Global are just some of the market-leading machinery and equipment suppliers that will be demonstrating a host of turf maintenance products – many of them new – to visitors at this year’s IOG SALTEX open space management show.

IOG SALTEX event director Jon Gibson says the event (Windsor Racecourse, September 3-5) already has more than 120 exhibitors.

According to Richard Comely, director of marketing and product management at Ransomes Jacobsen: “We are returning to IOG SALTEX with an impressive display of equipment, as well as dedicated demonstration areas for a range of products.”

He adds: “There will certainly be new products on display – though we want to keep our powder dry for the time being – and we are looking forward to being back at Windsor and welcoming new and existing customers to our stand.”

Tim Merrell, managing director of The Grass Group, commented: “As a distributor and importer of a wide range of groundscare products, IOG SALTEX is a show we can’t afford not be at. It’s at the right time of the year and our clients expect to see us there.”

David Jenkins, managing director of DJ Turfcare, has been exhibiting at IOG SALTEX for almost 40 years and he reported an “excellent” show in 2012, with not only equipment sales (to Arsenal Football Club in one case) but also large orders for organic lawn fertiliser and moss eliminator.

“We saw real quality visitors and had serious enquiries – Windsor is always a good show for us. We basically confine ourselves to one show a year, and that’s IOG SALTEX because it’s the event that gives us the extra exposure we need.”

As the sole UK fertiliser distributor for Viano of Belgium, David welcomed senior executives from the company on the stand and says: “They are impressed by IOG SALTEX, and the show’s proximity to Heathrow makes it an ideal venue for overseas visitors.”

Roger Moore, customer manager at Dennis & Sisis, continues the theme: “IOG SALTEX provides the ideal platform to meet new and existing clients and this year will form an integral role in the launch of new products, promotion of the Dennis and Sisis brands, the product portfolio and the team members.”

Gary Mumby, managing director of BLEC Global, adds: “IOG SALTEX has always been an important show and was very successful for us last year when we sold four machines off the stand – including a GKB Sandfiller sold to Peter Knight of Bury Turfcare who used it the week after the show to treat 18 golf greens at The Oxford Golf Club. The quality of the visitors was outstanding and as a result we made many appointments for on-site demonstrations.
“The demonstration area alongside our stand is vital,” he says. “It is a focal point of the show that certainly attracts visitors.”

IOG SALTEX 2013 www.iogsaltex.com will be held on 3-5 September 2013, Windsor Racecourse, Berks, and will embrace fine turf and sports surfaces, turf maintenance equipment, children’s outdoor play and safety surfacing, landscaping, contractors, commercial vehicles, outdoor leisure and facilities management, as well as software and security equipment. The show is attended by open space management professionals and contractors – from groundsmen and greenkeepers through to play officers, architects, designers and surveyors as well as local authority and outdoor leisure facility managers.
