The 2013 Asia Pacific Golf Summit (APGS) will serve as a special venue for the unveiling of three spectacular new golf courses in Malaysia.
The brand new courses are the stunning 18-hole championship course at Teluk Datai located on the island of Langkawi and two courses in Desaru – the 27-hole course on designed by Ernie Els, located on the South China Sea in the south eastern state of Johor and the 18-hole course designed by Vijay Singh.
All three properties will be managed by Troon Golf, the global leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing.
The Troon team is led by Ken Kosak, who was Group General Manager for Troon Golf in Abu Dhabi overseeing the highly acclaimed Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club.
The developer of the new courses is Destination Resorts and Hotels (DRH), strategic owner and developer of world class resort destinations, established by the Malaysian Government’s investment arm, Khazanah Nasional Berhard.
Kosak will be assisted by David Townend, Director, Troon Australia/Asia.
Come to APGS and witness the revelation of these spectacular properties designed by champion golfers and golf course architects Ernie Els and Vijay Singh.
Teluk Detai is set for official opening in the last quarter of 2013, with Desaru following soon after in Q3 2014 creating two exclusive golf clubs offering an experience unmatched in the region.
