The 18-30 age group, known as ‘the Millennials’, are golf’s most critical and potentially valuable customer group. But how much do you really know about them?

Fortunately for delegates to the HSBC Golf Business Forum in Abu Dhabi, April 28th – 30th, Thimon De Jong is on hand to separate the myth from the reality in a key note address at the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa.

De Jong is a leading futurist and one of the world’s most sought-after experts in consumer behaviour, societal trends and their impact on business strategy. He has worked for organizations such as IKEA, Deloitte, Tetra Pak, Aon, Samsung, Citywire, RTL and GDF Suez, covering subject matter including the nature of uncertainty relating to the Millennials, generational changes and their effects on business, and human behaviour with regards to future technologies and new media.

Thimon is a director of his own company, Whetston, a strategic foresight think tank and is a professor at Utrecht University lecturing on socio-cultural trends and how they can be used to improve business strategy.
