8.10am 12th July 2012 - Exhibitions & Conferences

Remember the days when Asia hardly had any professional golf tournaments? Then came along the Asian Tour which has grown over the years. We now have another major professional tour in Asia– the One Asia Tour.

Together with professional tours in Japan, South Korea, China,Thailand and India, professional tournaments have become a major feature on the regular golfing calendar.

Asiais also growing in importance for foreign professional tours. These days, the PGA Tour ofAmerica, the European Tour and the LPGA Tour all stage events in Asia. In years to come, this trend will grow.

In light of this anticipated growth, a special panel session will be staged at the 2012 Asia Pacific Golf Summit to be staged in the oil-rich Sultanate of Brunei on December 11-13.

The panel will be chaired by Paul Stringer, Executive Vice President of Nicklaus Design and will comprise Tenniel Chu, Vice Chairman Mission Hills Group and Secretary General OneAsia Tour; Harald Ellison General Manager  Black Mountain Golf Club, Hua Hin, Thailand; Mark Adams Senior Vice President IMG Golf Management Services; Adrian Wahyudi General Manager Royale Jakarta Golf Club, Indonesia

“This panel session is expected to be a big draw at the 2012 Asia Pacific Golf Summit and we expect it to generate a great deal of interest amongst golf course owners and the professional tour operators,” saidMike Sebastian, chief executive officer of the Asia Pacific Golf Group, the owner and producer of the Summit.
