The TGI Golf Partnership –Europe’s leading golf retail services group, owned by PGA Professionals, has launched a free business conference as part of its continued investment in essential education for its Partners.
The two-day TGI Golf Partnership Business Conference, exclusively for to the group’s 400-plus Partners, will also include the first-ever gala awards dinner, where both Partner Suppliers and PGA Professionals will be rewarded for outstanding work throughout the year.
Staged at Manchester’s Marriott Worsley Park, from Monday, 4th February to Tuesday, 5th February, the Business Conference will see industry leading speakers hosting educational seminars geared around helping Partners and their business.
Guest speakers will include social media expert Dr Jim Hamill from the University of Strathclyde Business School, retail visual expert Colin Lipsy, Master PGA Professional John Mulgrew and John McKenzie from the specialist golf public relations and marketing communications agency, Landmark Media International.
The event will be free for TGI Golf Partners who will earn 50 CPD Points by attending the seminars to help them enhance their business knowledge.
Eddie Reid, TGI Golf Partnership Managing Director, said: “At the TGI Golf Partnership we are serious about enhancing our Partners’ businesses and this two-day conference is being staged purely for those PGA Professionals who are serious about their businesses too.
“We will be delving deep into a wide range of subjects to ensure our Partners leave theManchestercountryside with a wealth of knowledge that will help them and their businesses.
“There is lots of great training on offer to the PGA Professionals across the country focussing on coaching the game, but limited advice on running successful golf businesses. It was quite clear that more training was required, and from people outside of the golf industry who have incredible knowledge of the business world.
“Previously we have held educational seminars during our successful annual Regional Meetings held at 13 different venues around theUKandIreland. Having listened to feedback from our Partners there is a need for a more extensive seminar programme, which will prove tough logistically to tour the country. So we have launched the TGI Golf Partnership Business Conference.”
The first ever TGI Golf Partnership Awards will honour those Partner Suppliers who have excelled in key areas, as well as announcing a number of awards for TGI Golf Partners.
“Each year TGI Golf Partnership rewards our Partner Suppliers through our Supplier Survey, this will now be rolled into the Awards Night at the Business Conference, where we shall also recognise the achievements of a number of our Partners,” added Reid.
