Textron Turf Care is one of the sponsors of the inaugural Gleneagles Golf Conference to be held at The Gleneagles Hotel, Perthshire Scotland from 12th-14th March 2001. Organised by Jimmy Kidd, Director of Turfgrass Management at Gleneagles, the conference will provide a maximum of 75 delegates with a highly technical and informed view of the development of a golf course project from initial concept through design to construction, completion and final maintenance.
Topics under discussion will include golf course design, grass type selection, greens construction systems, irrigation, maintenance equipment and ecological management.
Speakers will come from around the globe and will be recognised experts in their field. It is proposed that the conference becomes a biennial event that acts as a yardstick for technical excellence in golf turf management in Europe and the International market.
The cost of the conference will be £600 plus VAT per delegate and this includes all meals, accommodation, seminars and official functions.
