The TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company has announced that it will ‘refrain from participating‘ in the 2004 PGA Merchandise Show

The TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company has announced that it will refrain from participating in the 2004 PGA Merchandise Show.
“TaylorMade-adidas is a longtime participant and believer in the PGA Merchandise Show,” says Mark King, President and CEO. “Over the years we‘ve conducted a lot of business at the Show. But we have decided to pass in 2004, and instead use the funds and resources to further help our customers, including PGA professionals and off-course retailers, to sell TaylorMade, Maxfli and adidas Golf products. We will earnestly consider participating in the PGA Merchandise Show again next year.”
A European spokesman for TaylorMade, Maxfli and adidas Golf said, “TMaG has made a tough decision not to attend the Show in 2004 and have reallocated those resources that were earmarked for the Show to other marketing initiatives that will help their customers to sell TaylorMade, adidas Golf, Maxfli and Rossa products. TMaG will evaluate future attendance at the show at the appropriate time.”
