Schofield to chair London golf conference

The former executive director of the European Tour, Ken Schofield CBE, will chair the inaugural London Golf Conference on 1-2 May. The two-day event will focus on the impact of the recession across various areas of the golf industry. The conference runs alongside the fifth London Golf Show in Docklands’ ExCeL Centre.

Travel, retail and the professional game are among the areas which will come under the microscope as Ken Schofield is joined by representatives from the PGA, the PGAs of Europe and the European Tour in addition to IMG, KPMG and the European Golf Course Owners Association. The conference will seek to include delegates through several Q&A and panel sessions, combined with hours of social networking. The delegate fee, which includes access to all sessions and a complimentary pass into The London Golf Show, is £300. Members of various golf organisations will receive opportunities for entry at special rates.
