Redesign for 2008 PGA Fall Expo

7.52am 13th June 2008 - Exhibitions & Conferences

A new combination of retail solutions, a revved-up fashion focus, more new companies, the addition of non-golf revenue builders, major equipment companies, plus low-cost hotel rates, free daily continental breakfast and a complimentary industry reception all add up to unprecedented value at the 2008 PGA Fall Expo at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, 25-27 August.

More than 4,000 PGA professionals and golf retailers will gather with approximately 400 golf manufacturers at the annual golf marketplace, with the twist in 2008 that the PGA Fall Expo has been redesigned to offer solutions pertinent to today’s economic climate.

“The 2008 PGA Fall Expo has been re-designed with the singular goal to increase the value of every minute and dollar spent at our industry’s fall event,” said PGA Show Group vice president Ed Several. “While there is already more to do, see and learn in 2008, we anticipate building even more into the event throughout the summer and look forward to offering unprecedented value when the event begins August 25th..”

New Product Categories to Drive Incremental Revenue
More than 400 vendors strong, the PGA Fall Expo includes more than 20 top equipment manufacturers, some 120 leading apparel brands, multiple training aid, travel and golf accessories companies plus, new this year, proven non-golf revenue builders. Non-traditional, lifestyle merchandise making an impact at golf retail business nationwide will have a larger presence on the show floor in 2008. New Timing Coincides with Las Vegas Fashion Week
This year’s earlier dates for the 2008 PGA Fall Expo coincide with MAGIC, MODA, MRkt, and ACCESSORIES: The Show*, offering PGA professionals and golf retailers a cost-effective opportunity to plan their traditional, full golf merchandising strategy at the PGA Fall Expo, plus review additional lifestyle merchandise options at four simultaneous fashion trade shows.

New Programs Offer Retail Solutions
PGA Golf Exhibitions is teaming up with The PGA of America and the Association of Golf Merchandisers to offer some 20 seminars tackling today’s economic climate and covering topics such as revenue-building programs, marketing & promotions, visual merchandising, customer service training, golf operations and instruction.

Packed Calendar of Events and Programs
In addition to discovering the latest products, sourcing new vendors and participating in the education conference, attendees can fill their schedules with multiple special events including the PGA Fall Expo Demo Day and Golf Tournament on Monday, Aug. 25th, at Badlands Golf Club in Las Vegas.

The 2nd Annual Demo Day has grown to include more than 40 equipment and golf accessories vendors and the popular PGA Fall Expo tournament returns with two double-shot gun starts, gift bags and cash-prize awards. The annual House of Blues Industry Reception also returns to the shows opening night, 26th August with free entertainment, drinks and hors d‘oeuvres.

Fashion roundtables, multiple PGA career programs and equipment testing will be offered daily.

Low Cost Hotel Rooms, Free Daily Continental Breakfast and More
While the 2008 PGA Fall Expo packs value into just three days of grand-scale business opportunities, PGA Golf Exhibitions also delivers additional cost savings for attendees in 2008.

Hotel agreements have been negotiated for as low as $89 a night (based on availability); free continental breakfast is provided daily; complimentary shuttles to Demo Day; and exclusive discount event rates are now available for individuals and groups at www.pgaexpo.com

The PGA Fall Expo is an industry-only event and is not open to the public. PGA Professionals, retailers and industry leaders can register, book travel and learn more about the 2008 PGA Fall Expo at www.pgaexpo.com .
