On Course for a Bumper BTME

12.34am 6th January 2012 - Exhibitions & Conferences

In just over two weeks’ time, BTME is set to be a bumper show in BIGGA’s 25th Anniversary year and any company still considering exhibiting will need to make a decision very quickly as space is filling up,” says Chief Executive Officer Jim Croxton. “Stand sales are still going well with Halls B and M practically full and quite a number of new exhibitors committing.

Visitor registrations are up 15% on the same time last year so our hard work communicating to the members, emphasising how valuable a trip to the Exhibition is in terms of networking and sharing best practice, has paid off – especially the Continue to Learn programme where a number of workshops are full.”

BIGGA celebrates its 25th birthday in 2012 and to mark the occasion a Celebratory Evening is being held at the Old Swan Hotel on the Tuesday evening. It will be an opportunity to recognise those people who were instrumental in the launch of the Association and share memories with those who have helped built the Association into what it is today.  The event will provide the ideal opportunity for visitors to socialise, not only with each other, but also with the BIGGA Board of Directors and officials.

By coincidence 2012 also marks 100 years since the first surviving recorded minutes of BIGGA’s oldest ancestor – the very first greenkeeping Association. There will be an exhibition looking at the development of greenkeeping associations within the Halls.
