Business opportunities that the global golf industry has come to value, plus multiple new programs are in place to help some anticipated 40,000 PGA Professionals and industry leaders prepare for growth across all areas of their business.

The PGA of America and PGA Golf Exhibitions will bring back the event’s most valued resources including Outdoor Demo Day (Jan. 25), the PGA Education Conference, the PGA Forum Stage for industry presentations, the indoor Equipment Test Center, the Inventor’s Spotlight Pavilion, multiple New Product Zones and networking events. Additionally, the 95th PGA Annual Meeting will be held at the beginning of Show Week; the annual prestigious PGA Awards will be held Thursday,Jan. 26; and The PGA of America will conduct multiple membership programs.
New Programs:
Many new programs are added to the schedule in 2012 including the roll-out of The PGA’s Golf 2.0 Strategic Plan, a new Business Leadership Series, and new Show Floor-featured destinations including the Golf Business Solutions Zone, a Live Fashion E-Studio and the International Components Guild Connections Center.
The industry’s comprehensive “Golf 2.0” initiative takes center stage at this year’s PGA Merchandise Show to introduce an exciting long-range strategic plan touching all sectors of golf in order to grow the game. Golf 2.0 is designed to increase participation in golf to 40 million players by 2020, increase rounds and increase revenue generated from industry-wide golf initiatives.
Whether through social media, mobile phone technology or word-of-mouth advertising, PGA members will be able to combine traditional marketing strategies with hi-tech advancements – to reach existing clients, tap latent golfers and grow new business.
