The Golf Show Group has announced new dates for the London Golf Show 2009 with the golfing spectacular now set to return to Docklands’ ExCeL Centre for its fifth outing on 1-3 May.
The move has come after the announcement of maintenance works on the Docklands Light Railway meant thousands of golfers would have had trouble reaching the venue on the original dates.
Colin Brunton, chairman of the Golf Show Group, said: “Originally the show was scheduled for mid-April but after a period of consultation with ExCeL we’re pleased to announce the new dates.
“One of the main reasons we are returning to ExCeL for our fifth show is that – in addition to it’s excellent facilities and reputation as one of the capital’s premier show sites – it has fantastic transport links and accessibility, but the disruption to the DLR would have meant, people with tickets having a difficult journey.
“We spoke with many of our exhibitors, partners, and associates ahead of the move and they were fully supportive of it. They obviously want as many golfers as possible to be able to make the show and now everyone’s going full steam ahead for another successful event.”
The London Golf Show returns to ExCeL from 1-3 May for its fifth outing and will boast a host of exhibitors and interactive fun and games.
The golfing bonanza will offer everything golfers’ hearts desire including big brands, custom-fitting, a huge indoor driving range, a massive american golf store, celebrity appearances and countless competitions with great prizes to be won.
In addition visitors can take in everything from the latest fairway fashions and hottest destinations to the latest golfing gadgets and gizmos.
