Munich’s Fairway Exhibition to stand alone

8.20am 3rd January 2007 - Exhibitions & Conferences

After a one year experiment in which it ran side by side with Golf Europe, the Fairway International Golf Course Congress with Trade Exhibition will again take place as a separate event in the future.

The organizers, Messe Mà¼nchen GmbH, decided this after intensive discussions with the Fairway Advisory Board which is composed of representatives of industry and associations of the various visitor groups. The actual event time and the further development of the concept will be worked out further with all those involved.

Over the past 12 years Fairway has become established as Europe’s leading trade fair for the construction, maintenance and management of golf courses and is above all distinguished by a top-rate conference programme. The objective is to find dates which correspond to the interests of all those involved in the trade fair. Possible times are in the late autumn or even spring. In order to make solid preparations for the next Fairway and develop a professional congress program, the next event is planned for 2008.

Manfred Wutzlhofer, CEO Messe Mà¼nchen GmbH, said, “We have created a valuable platform with Fairway in Munich where the international golf course industry has been meeting and sharing ideas for years. The congress with the trade exhibition will certainly remain interesting for all visitors. The unanimous decision of the Advisory Board gives us substantial motivation to develop the concept of Fairway further and successfully.”
