London Golf Show confirms expert line-up…

With only a month to go now until London only Golf Show ‘swings’ open it doors for yet another successful show at Earls Court, the organisers can now confirm some of the talent that will be on show at the event….

Opening the show on 9th November will be ‘London Golf Show Ambassador’, Golfer, Model and Presenter Sophie Horn. Sophie is a prodigious golfer and, having grown up on a golf course was crowned Norfolk County Champion 3 years running and won the Under-21 title when she was just 15 years old. She also won the Midlands Championship, and became Champion of Champions in 2001. In 2005 she joined GolfPunk Magazine, contributing articles, advice & Golf tips. Sophie moved in front of the camera in 2008 to co-present ‘Show Me The Golf’ for Setanta and she also presented The Golf Show Pilot for Sky Sports Online. Sophie has featured in Sport Magazine three times most recently in September 2012 and then most notably was featured in Sports Illustrated in Aug 2010. Internationally, Sophie was voted ‘Sexiest Golfer’ in 2010. In July 2011 Sophie became GQ Magazine’s resident golf expert, contributing articles, interviews, reviews and instruction.

World Golf Trick Shot Champion Geoff Swain, and the talented trick shot artist Kevin Carpenter have teamed up to create a truly unique experience in golfing entertainment, a golf trick shot show double act. Individually Geoff and Kevin have unique shows but together it creates quite simply a stunning and inspiring show that sets them apart from anything else you may have seen on the golf trick show circuit. Fun, thrills, audience participation, mind blowing trick shots, unbelievable hand-eye coordination, and a thumping good line in banter. Both Geoff and Kevin have individually entertained at many European and World Tour events which include the Dubai World Championships for the Race to Dubai and the Mission Hills Omega World Cup, and have performed with Ryder Cup favourite Ian Poulter and many other well known Tour Professionals.

Gary Smith

Gary Smith (pictured) has 14 years experience as an EGU’s England Elite Men’s Coach and is rated a UK Top 25 Coach by Golf Monthly magazine.Gary’s coaching reputation extends to all ages and levels of golfer, so much so that he now passes on his knowledge of, and ground breaking philosophies on pitching, chipping and bunker shots to Qualified PGA Professionals. In addition, he was winner Kenya Open 1975, represented Great Britain and Ireland in PGA Cup v USA 1986, was 3 x Winner West of England Championships 1978/79/82 and competed in three British Opens.

Linguistic Programming (NLP), Hypnotherapy, Personal Development and has also walked on FIRE! Currently running the Chichester Golf Academy, he has taught in Portugal and the Ukraine. He says… “Anybody can play golf, it’s just a question of finding out what is the individual motivation to achieve!” Now presenting at this his third show for the Golf Show Group, Tony has proved a hit with all ages and we look forward to him brining more fun to the proceedings again!

Andy Gorman, one of Europe’s leading Putting & Short-Game coaches confirms his attendance at the London Golf Show this November. Andy will be on hand for all three days at the London show, providing an insight into his coaching philosophy that has seen a number of high profile players improving their putting stats & bank balances this season. Andy has been a consistent sight on the practice greens at European & Seniors Tour events again this season. The highlight this year being introducing his T-Stroke putting training aid to Peter Lawrie at the PGA Championship at Wentworth in May, resulting in a fourth place finish for Lawrie, ahead of him qualifying for the US Open. Andy will again be sharing with us his thoughts on how you can get the most from your game.

Jules Brook is a unique talent who brings an exotic twist to presenting. A Euro-Asian Londoner with Indonesian roots, Jules she has a particular penchant for, film, food and golf. She has worked on programmes including The Sunday Night Project and T4. Her show ‘Uncompressed’ can be seen every week, internationally, on MTV HD.  Jules’ love of golf began when her grandmother used to take her to golf practice from the age of 4. Although her handicap remains in double figures, she has an impressive knowledge of both the US and European Tours, which she follows very closely.

Now in its 8th year, the longest running golf show in the UK will once again be held in Earls Court and this year’s show will see the largest indoor demo and equipment days in the UK, with more brands, more offers and more fun!

The 2012 show is designed to provide a truly interactive experience for golfers of all ages and will again be supported by retail partner the Internet Golf Store and some of the world’s top golf brands including TaylorMade, Callaway, Mizuno, Cleveland, Nike, Titleist, Wilson, Cobra and Yonex.
