London conference on golf course values

A comprehensive examination of golf course values is the subject of a one-day conference to be held in May. Speakers will provide information about this changing market and advise operators how best to maximise the potential worth of their golf courses

A comprehensive examination of golf course values is the subject of a one-day conference to be held at the Cafà© Royal towards the end of May. Among the speakers are Alan Plumb of FPDSavills, Robert Hunt from PGA Golf Management, David MacLaren of Whitbread and Colin Searle of Master Golfer Ltd.

Under the chairmanship of Bill Murray of the English Golf Union, the subjects to be covered in some detail include a report of recent deals and prices paid, a review of the leasehold sector, suggestions for improving values by maximising returns on ancillary facilities and the availability of funding for golf course purchase, developments and operation.
