The World Golf Expo (WGE) is all set to go for 2022. Billed as ‘the biggest golf business extravaganza in the Asia Pacific’ WGE 2022 will be staged in the capital city of Haikou on the island of Hainan.
The show dates are confirmed, and the event will be held over five days and the dates are November 12 – 16, 2022.
In announcing WGE 2022, Mike Sebastian, publisher of ASIAN GOLF and the executive producer of the event said, “We are pulling out all stops to make WGE 2022 the best showcase for golf in the Asia Pacific and we could not ask for a better suited venue to stage this epic event.”
WGE 2022 will be staged at the multi-billion-dollar facilities of the Mission Hills Resort in Haikou, voted the best golf resort in the world.
WGE 2022 is being jointly organised and produced by the Mission Hills Group, ASIAN GOLF and AIT Events.
The major components of WGE 2022 will be a three-day golf business summit, a three-day golf trade and consumer exhibition, the Global Golf Awards and the 2022 Amateur Super League.
“WGE 2022 promises to be a truly milestone event for golf in the Asia Pacific,” said Tenniel Chu, Chairman of the Joint Organising Committee. “It has all the components in place to help transform Haikou into the industry’s global hub for golf and we are all working hard to ensure that WGE 2022 provides good value for the trade and consumers alike.”
Special emphasis is being placed on making the exhibition component of WGE an event not to be missed. AIT Events, the company that used to produce the China Golf Expo has come on board to organise and stage the trade and consumer exhibition.
Commenting on the WGE Trade and Consumer Exhibition, Frank Xu, President of AIT Events said, “We are excited to be involved with WGE and we are confident that given our extensive experience in staging mega trade shows and exhibitions, WGE 2022’s Trade and Consumer Exhibition will be a resounding success.”
The postponement of WGE 2021 was announced in June. Full details of WGE 2022 will be announced soon.
