IOG SALTEX on course for sell-out

12.30am 15th March 2004 - Exhibitions & Conferences

With over six months to go before IOG SALTEX opens its doors at Windsor Racecourse (7-9 September 2004), the support for this year’s event has already reinforced the show’s status as Europe’s annual flagship event for the open space management industry and, in particular, the sports and leisure sectors.
Already, 90 per cent of stand space is booked – including more big name suppliers and overseas exhibitors – and a free seminar programme focusing on leisure industry issues is planned to complement the comprehensive displays of products, technologies and techniques being staged by the 400 plus exhibitors.
IOG SALTEX regular exhibitors include Allett Mowers, Kubota, John Deere, Hayter, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Ransomes Jacobson, Toro and SISIS.
With such a line-up it’s no surprise that visitors like Mike Baker and Robin Smith, secretary and head greenkeeper, respectively, of Limpsfield Chart Golf Club, keep returning to IOG SALTEX to keep abreast of developments on an annual basis.
“It’s certainly worth coming,” they said after last year’s event. “We came here with several purposes in mind – to look at machinery and to talk to suppliers of soil and groundscare products – and we‘ve fulfilled them all.”
Following its 65-year tradition, IOG SALTEX 2004 will again embrace fine turf and sports, turf maintenance equipment, children’s play and safety surfacing, commercial vehicles, leisure and facilities management and software as well as security equipment, and is aimed at groundsmen and greenkeepers as well as golf club owners, managers and developers in both the local authority and private sectors.
