Asia’s ‘most powerful man in golf’ will deliver a special keynote address at the 2013 Asia Pacific Golf Summit (APGS).

The Asia Pacific Golf Group is proud to announce that Dr. Ken Chu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Mission Hills Group, will deliver a speech focused on how the Mission Hills Group has expanded and grown to become the absolute largest and environmentally sustainable golf complex and resort in the world.

APGS 2013 will be staged at the five-star Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta on 5 – 7 November.

Dr. Chu, the leading scion of the family behind the sprawling Mission Hills complex spread over Mission Hills Shenzhen and Dongguan on the mainland and Mission Hills Haikou on the island of Hainan took over the reins of the group in 2008.

Dr. Chu is credited with planning and executing with Chinese Government policy makers the massive project that is now Mission Hills Haikou on the tropical island of Hainan.

He is also the youngest to receive an Honorary Doctorate of Law Degree for his contribution in sports, leisure developments and community services in Hong Kong and China.

After the completion of his studies Dr. Chu joined his father, Dr. David Chu at Mission Hills Group in 1995. Since then, he has aggressively planned and expanded the group and today, Mission Hills is listed as the “World’s Largest Golf Club by the Guinness Book of Records.

Delegates at APGS 2013 will hear how Dr. Chu has kept growing Mission Hills and share in his vision for the future of golf in Asia.
