Golf Management Asia 2012 to take place in Mission Hills in November

Mission Hills China will host the inaugural Golf Management Asia Conference from 6 - 8 November, immediately following the WGC-HSBC Champions Tournament.

Mission Hills China, the biggest golf club in the world, will host the inaugural Golf Management Asia Conference from 6 – 8 November, immediately following the WGC-HSBC Champions Tournament.

The conference programme will address the major challenges encountered by golf club management teams across Asia and will gather high level directors, course managers, designers, club owners, presidents of golf associations and tourism authorities to advance practices and shape the future of the game in the region.

The A-list Speaker Line-up includes international and regional experts:

  • Gordon Moir, Director of Greenkeeping at St Andrews Links – “The Home of Golf”
  • Jon Tomlinson, General Director of the Montgomerie Links Danang inVietnam
  • Ken Siems, General Manager of Jinhai Lake Golf Club in China
  • Peter Frewin, General Manager of the Australian Golf Course Superintendents Association and many more

Jules Hudry-Prodon, Director of Golf Management Asia 2012 said: “Participants will discuss the challenges faced with member retention, player attraction, course maintenance cost reduction and operation optimization.

“To maximise networking opportunities a discovery tour of the facilities at Mission Hills’ will be organised in addition to the two days of conference and a delegate tournament will also take place.”
