The 69th PGA Show will reunite the global golf industry in person for the first time in two years when the doors open at the Orange County Convention Centre on January 26 for the three-day exhibition and trade show.
PGA Professionals, golf leaders, industry executives, retailers and manufacturers will be faced with a much-changed event, with the organisers offering a number of new programs and events to enhance the visitor experience. While sourcing new products and services from more than 600 participating brands remains at the heart of the show, industry professionals will also be able to attend high-level industry presentations, learn timely business solutions for the current golf market and connect in person with peers and golf leaders to drive forward the business of the sport.
Organised in partnership by PGA Golf Exhibitions and the PGA of America, the PGA Show is prioritizing the well-being of the golf community with robust health and safety standards based on CDC guidelines, public health advisors and host venue protocols to support a responsible industry gathering and comfortable event experience. Up-to-date information about evolving health and safety protocols is posted to PGAShow.com.
“As the largest annual gathering of our Membership, the 2022 PGA Show will be a welcome reunion for PGA Professionals and the industry as we come back together to find better ways of doing business, uncovering products to make the game more enjoyable and personally connecting with people who share a passion for the sport and the business of golf,” said PGA of America President Jim Richerson. “We are keenly focused on addressing critical industry issues and offering timely solutions for our Professionals at the PGA Show to keep golf’s positive momentum going at every level.”
PGA Show Demo & Fitting Day
The 19th edition of the golf industry’s annual professional demo day kicks off PGA Show Week on January 25 and has been renamed the PGA Show Demo & Fitting Day, returning to Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Garden, Florida. The day-long event features new opportunities this year for PGA Professionals to learn from experts in coaching, clubfitting, fitness and range operations, while testing a variety of products in outdoor golf conditions. PGA Show Demo & Fitting Day is open exclusively to PGA/LPGA Professionals and media from 9am-noon, and open to additional industry professionals registered for the PGA Show from noon to 5pm.
PGA Show Floor Features
The 69th edition of the PGA Show opens on Wednesday, January 26, at the Orange County Convention Center where the golf community will uncover innovative new products from more than 600 participating brands, while exploring a redesigned and refreshed Show Floor featuring multiple new experiential elements designed to engage attendees with products and facilitate peer networking.
Attendees will enter the PGA Show floor to a new pavilion, the PGA of America Hub, featuring a golf experiential area, an industry presentation stage, a PGA Professional Lounge, PGA Coaching demonstrations, PGA Career Services and activations for Association initiatives and business partners. The putting green and short game areas have been relocated near the indoor Equipment Test Center to create one centralized area for testing products, and the Fashion Buyer Lounge is now more centrally located in the Apparel Hall to provide an exciting runway stage for the annual live Fashion Show, now on Jan. 26, the opening night of the PGA Show. Attendees can also look forward to a return of popular Show floor destinations including the New Product Zone, Golf Travel Pavilion, Inventor’s Spotlight Pavilion, Golf Fitness, Wellness & Instruction Pavilion and the Adaptive Golf Center.
Special Events
Once again PGA Show Week will have a full schedule of special events to bring industry peers together, including the Folds of Honor Red, White & Blues Party at Demo Day (Jan. 25); the PGA Show Opening Ceremony featuring PGA of America leadership, the unveiling of the PGA of America National Awards recipients, and musical entertainment by Sam Harrop (Jan. 26); the annual PGA Show Live Fashion Show and Networking Reception on opening night (Jan. 26); and multiple exhibitor events on the Show Floor and throughout Orlando in the evenings.
Educational and Industry Programming
The renewal of the PGA Show features a heightened focus on providing solutions to today’s business climate through education and industry programming. PGA Show Week will begin again with the National Golf Course Owners Association Golf Business Conference, Jan. 24-26, followed by the AGM Golf Retail Conference on Jan. 25. PGA Show Demo & Fitting Day workshops feature top speakers on instruction, clubfitting, golf fitness and range operations. The PGA Show also features complimentary presentations by leaders from across the sport at the PGA Hub Industry Stage and additional programs by subject matter experts at the Golf Fitness, Wellness & Instruction Stage.
The PGA Education Conference, focusing on teaching and coaching, executive management and operations tracks, plus golf retail sessions, features significantly less overlap with exhibit floor hours and post-show virtual access to allow PGA Professionals and golf buyers more time with exhibitors and their peers. PGA Professionals can take advantage of multiple PGA Member Business Center career workshops and all attendees are invited to participate in the National Alliance for Accessible Golf Inclusion Conference. PGA Professionals are able to earn more than 35 MSR credits through participation in the PGA Show Education Conference, additional PGA Show Week educational programming, and various PGA Show and PGA of America programs.
