Glenmuir, Sunderland of Scotland and MacWet are pleased to announce their attendance at the upcoming 2015 Golf Trade Show. Since the inaugural show in 2010 Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland have continued to increase their presence and support for the Golf Show held at the Harrogate International Centre which is open to more than 6,000 PGA Professionals and Members across the continent.
Mikhel Ruia, Managing Director of Glenmuir says “We see The Golf Trade Show as an ideal platform for us to showcase the skills, passion and craftsmanship we put into our Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland collections and the personal service we provide to all golf professionals. We believe the investment in The Golf Trade Show further cements our commitment to PGA Professionals and retailers and we look forward to seeing many of our customers at the show.”
At this year’s show the highlight will be the launch of the Glenmuir Spring Summer 2016 collection which is built upon three contemporary colour trends which embrace the natural hues of the Scottish landscape creating a colourful yet classic and elegant offering. Light Blue and Yellow come together to freshen up classic colours to form the Stornoway Sands colour story, the Torridon Ridge colour story has been inspired by its dramatic landscape featuring Magenta which gives added vibrancy to the collection. Finally the more subtle Herbidean Dawn story has been taken from new trends for pastel hues mimicking a Hebridean Island sunrise.
The collection features Made in Scotland lambswool knitwear, luxurious extra-fine merino sweaters and lustrous mercerised shirts. All pieces are crafted with precision using generations of knowledge, passion and skill combined with the most advanced garment and textile technology which gives this collection a differentiated and unbeatable edge.
“Our collection now includes designs to cater for a range of discerning tastes for the gentleman golfer – modern clean lines, subtle detailing for sharper design and also contemporary takes on stripes,” commented Ann Miller, Glenmuir’s Design and Buying Director.
Staying true to the brand’s 125 year golfing heritage, the Glenmuir design team have introduced new intarsia designs in lightweight summer cotton, blending classic argyle patterns with contemporary colour blocking designs. The collection also sees the reintroduction of lightweight men’s classic shorts due to popular demand.
Ann explains: “Our ladies’ SS 2016 collection encompasses the combination of performance, sports elegance and styling with added attention to detail and coordination. This can be seen in product details such as the sophisticated metallic buttons, elegant diamanté finishing and subtle use of lurex embroidery which brings the ladies’ collection to life. Our coordinating headband visor which features a Glenmuir icon magnetic ball marker is a chic choice.”
The Sunderland of Scotland 2016 collection continues to push the boundaries of research and development in fabric performance, garment design and manufacture. Sunderland have become world renowned for engineering performance golf clothing to the highest technical specifications to meet the demands of golfers, providing exceptional comfort, freedom of movement and protection from the elements
