Jasper Carrott will once again attend the NEC Golf Show

A host of major manufacturers will be using the NEC Golf Show to showcase their newest clubs in the UK for the first time, while organisers have announced even more big prizes to be won.

And Birmingham’s favourite son Jasper Carrott has also confirmed his attendance at the golfing extravaganza.

The show will have more major equipment manufacturers on its massive indoor driving range than ever before with Nike, Yonex, Wilson and Callaway showcasing their clubs to visitors alongside the latest clubs from TaylorMade, PING, Mizuno and Cobra.

Visitors to the show will be among the first to test Nike’s SQ MACHSPEED Black Driver, VR Pro Combo irons and VR Pro Blade irons; Titleist’s 910 drivers; new Callaway Octane drivers and fairway woods; Wilson’s Di11 irons; and Yonex VMS irons and ladies’ VMS Woods – all of which are brand new to the UK market.

Your Golf Travel.com has announced it will be giving away a three-night golf holiday at Villaitana Resort, Alicante, for four people as the top prize on the Long Putt competition, with a selection of UK golf breaks also up for grabs.

In addition, Ireland’s Clonea Resort is offering a trip worth more than €2,000 which includes four nights’ accommodation in a four-bedroom lodge, four green fees on the Gold Coast course and return ferry fares.

Carrott will be among those attempting to win the big prizes. He will be at the show on the opening day, Friday, 26 November for his third visit to the golfing fiesta.

Speaking at last year’s event the legendary comedian said: “It’s getting better every year, which is the whole object of these shows. The overall atmosphere in the show is excellent. Golfers are great people and I have a ball out there meeting different people.”

Golf accessories, gadgets, gizmos, fashion and destinations will also be on offer, along with free coaching, custom fitting and some great show-only deals. Fantastic prizes will be available on a host of big competitions with the show promising more simulators, more interactivity, more games and more fun.

The NEC Golf Show runs from 26-28 November and is the perfect day out for everyone from single-figure handicappers to those just starting out in the game. Tickets cost just £10 but great deals for those buying in advance mean visitors can see the entire golfing spectrum for as little as £6.
