Stephen Allen, founder and CEO of Golf World Management Pty Ltd, has announced that he is to move the headquarters of his business from Perth in Western Australia to China early in the New Year.

“At this point in time I anticipate that we will be in China by January or February,” said Stephen Allen, who has organised golf and associated industry exhibitions and conferences, in Singapore, China and Hong Kong for the past 12 consecutive years. “With Beijing having the Olympics in 2008 we will be expanding the business as soon as I have relocated.

“I see tremendous opportunity in China – not just for golf but for all for all sports, related tourism and infrastructure,” he continued. “We will be holding an international expo called ‘SLICE’ – (Sports Leisure Infrastructure Conference & Exhibition) in 2003. The golf show will be incorporated in SLICE in a separate pavilion and will represent about 8% of the show’s size.”

Stephen Allen has also announced that his Golf World Group is to launch a new employment service.
