A new golf show scheduled for the National Exhibition Centre has received the support of BBC WM which has signed up as the official broadcast media partner.
The Golf Show, NEC Birmingham 2007, launches in November, promising to bring to the Midlands what golf enthusiasts in the south east have enjoyed in London for the past three years.
The London Golf Show, at ExCeL in London’s Docklands, has been a huge success and The Golf Show, NEC Birmingham 2007, is being launched by the company behind the London event: The Golf Show Co Ltd.
BBC WM’s partnership with the new show is an organic development for the corporation as BBC London has been the broadcast partner for the London show for each of the last two years – and it has enjoyed a tremendous response from listeners and viewers.
Keith Beech, BBC WM’s editor, explained, “BBC London’s presence at the London Golf Show was a mutually beneficial arrangement and we are delighted to be able to extend that to the new show at the NEC.”
Andy Barwell, The Golf Show Co’s managing director, added, “The Golf Show Co’s relationship with the BBC has come on in leaps and bounds over the past couple of years and it’s pleasing that BBC WM has come on board with the embryonic event.”
Award-winning american golf has confirmed its presence as a retail partner and the show looks set to become a regular fixture on the Midlands exhibition calendar.
The Golf Show, NEC Birmingham, 2007 takes place at the National Exhibition Centre, from 16-18 November.
