BIGGA has announced that BBC Breakfast presenter and golf fan Naga Munchetty will be hosting the Welcome Celebration at BTME, GolfBIC and the GolfBIC Dinner at BTME in two weeks’ time.
Naga is a familiar face to millions from her work on the BBC, and is also a talented amateur golfer with a handicap of nine, despite only taking up the game recently.
In a recent interview with The Scotsman newspaper, she said that golf had “changed her life”, adding, “I just loved the fact you are competing against yourself. I love team games as well, but I love that in golf it’s just me.
“I meet amazing people from all walks of life and socialise with people I wouldn’t necessarily choose to socialise with, and I learn something every day.”
Naga will host the Welcome Celebration from 5.30pm on Tuesday 19 January, where she will unveil the winners of the inaugural BIGGA Awards – more details here: http://www.bigga.org.uk/about-us/news/bigga-awardses-announced/00757.html
She will then host the various discussions at GolfBIC, which is being held in Hall Q of the Harrogate International Centre on Wednesday 20 & Thursday 21 January. She will also be compering the GolfBIC evening dinner which features a three-course meal, musical entertainment and a charity auction.
