An industry for the future

The Federation of European Golf Greenkeeper Associations is committed to assisting new emerging nations.

Federation of European Golf Greenkeeper Associations (FEGGA) recently brought together many of the new emerging golfing nations in a commitment in assisting with their future development. Some eighty people took advantage of this opportunity which offered a unique education programme over two days.
The conference held in Bled, Slovenia took the delegates on a journey that started with new planning guidelines for golf courses through to design and onto building the golf course. It also included, grow-in, sustainable management through to education of greenkeepers.
The conference was sponsored by Toro, Ransomes-Jacobsen, John Deere, Campey Turf Care and Syngenta. The event was also supported by the EGA and R & A and typically shows the support and commitment FEGGA is receiving. Eastern Europe is a growing market and is working hard at creating a sustainable industry. FEGGA’s role is to assist these countries through its European expertise in turf management and association support and guidance.
