All Change at The London Golf Show

After developing 12 shows for the Golf Industry in the past 7 years, The Golf Show Group moves to launch the London Golf Show at Earls Court on November 11-13, 2011.

For its seventh annual festival, Colin Brunton, CEO of the Golf Show Group said: “Earls Court is excellently served by the underground and rail network. In addition to this, many of our exhibitors have been pressing for a change of location to tap into the new markets that are best served by Earls Court.”

“We have been excited by the support and operational possibilities afforded by the site and its executive team,” he added.

Golf Show Group M.D.  Damian Benstead explained: “When the London Golf Show launched in 2005 it was hugely popular within the industry as there was nothing else like it in existence.”

“Then we began the NEC Golf Show in 2007, and now we believe the new location at Earls Court will make for easier access than Excel as we re-gear and re-launch the London Golf Show. Having survived some extraordinary challenges both in the exhibition industry and the Golf Industry in the past few years, and coping with the downturn, we now see a turnaround, and are well placed to encourage the Golf Industry through our shows.”

“Feedback from visitors and exhibitors has crystallised our belief that Earls Court’s central location in London attracts golfers from across the country.  Also there are a lot of golfers close to the west side of London, and at the same time we have noticed those companies that gain most from the London Golf Show benefit from the loyal fan base we have developed.”

“The re-launch of the London Golf Show involves much more than just a change of location and the show will regenerate excitement in the event by offering many more interactive features, competitions, and by offering specialised coaching from top professionals in dedicated, putting, short-game, swing, ladies and junior areas, with the latest technology that the golf industry can offer,” the MD explained.

“There will be opportunities for visitors to enjoy swinging and testing all the latest equipment, putting, chipping challenges, and tens of thousands of pounds of prizes to be won in competitions and draws. And of course our exhibitors will be showcasing an array of golfing equipment, venues, holidays and fashions all under one roof.”

Whilst continuing to work closely with retail partner, The Internet Golf Store, the London Golf Show will ensure that more of the big golf brands are present at the show than at any previous show.

Long time Show sponsors and partners Monarch Airlines and Your Golf Travel are joined this year by another blue-chip brand, premium auto manufacturer Lexus, in what marks an upward trend in the backing of the show. Announcements on the full list of sponsors and major brands will be made soon.

“The changes taking place will reinvigorate an internationally recognised and established show and provide companies with a dynamic platform to showcase their new products to golfers and media in and around the capital,” said Benstead.
