A personal invitation to the 1st ETS Conference

7.36am 7th December 2007 - Exhibitions & Conferences

Marco Volterrani, president of the European Turfgrass Society, is inviting all ‘turf enthusiasts’ to the first ETS Conference European Turfgrass Society Conference in Pisa on 19th-20th May 2008.

The general objective of the Conference (1st ETSC) is the promotion of international collaboration at all levels in the fields of ornamental, sports, utility and leisure turf.

“The 1st ETSC will provide an international forum for the benefit of European and non-European academics, researchers, scholars and students; turfgrass industry delegates; sports governing body delegates; central and local Government delegates; superintendents, greenkeepers, groundsmen; and turf consultants and constructors.

“I am sure that this will be an excellent opportunity to present, demonstrate and discuss research, development, applications and the latest innovations in the field of turfgrass. We will therefore be accepting scientific papers and technical and review papers.

“We would like to strongly encourage you to submit your abstracts to the 1st ETSC in order to share your achievements in the field of turfgrass.

“The response so far has been very exciting and we have already received many paper abstracts both from Europe and the rest of the world. The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to 20th December 2007.

“Attending the 1st European Turfgrass Society Conference would also be the perfect opportunity to visit the historical town of Pisa and its beautiful Tuscan surroundings. We look forward to welcoming you in Pisa in May 2008!”
