The UK Golf Federation has formed a new corporate partnership with leading electric car charging business EV Chargers which is set to bring about a wave of innovation and collaboration within the golf industry and fits with the UKGF’s vision to support sustainable golf courses.
EVC is a leading provider of comprehensive electric vehicle charging solutions. Founded by Oasthouse Ventures, renewable energy specialists, they began their early growth through successful installations and partnerships with prominent organisations. This has led to a further investment of £165m through Denham Capital, a Global Energy Transition Firm, which is facilitating and accelerating the company’s target of installing 100,000 UK charge points by 2027.
“We are delighted to embark on this journey with EVC,” said Richard Haygarth, chairman of the UK Golf Federation. “This partnership symbolises a convergence of shared values and a mutual ambition to drive the golf industry forward. By combining our strengths and resources, we are poised to create innovative solutions that will benefit our members and the industry as a whole.”
Nick Ballamy, CEO of EVC, commented: “We are delighted to partner with the UKGF, assisting golf clubs throughout the UK in their journey towards a sustainable future. As the number of electric vehicle users continues to grow daily, businesses are faced with the need to adjust, and golf facilities are no exception. Through this partnership with the UKGF, members will gain a valuable chance to futureproof their golf clubs, guaranteeing that all guests will find a convenient charging solution while enjoying their time on the course.”
