In 2010, The Netherlands will be witness to a worldwide scoop when Indoor Golf Arena®, the world’s largest indoor golf centre, will be expected to open its doors to the public.
A number of local councils in The Netherlands have expressed interest in this project. The concept of Indoor Golf Arena®, developed by the Dutch enterprise Indoor Golf Project, incorporates 14,000 m² golf practice facilities with artificial grass by Southwest Greens®, designed by Nicklaus Design® and 20 ProTee golf simulators.
Indoor Golf Arena® will not only be a general sports centre, but is also designated to become the centre of excellence for golf in The Netherlands. The Professional Golfers Associations of Europe (PGAE) supports the initiative to develop Indoor Golf Arena® and the Dutch Golf Federation (NGF) is following the developments with interest.
Next to indoor golf facilities, Indoor Golf Arena® also comprises top quality catering and business to business facilities, a golf shop of over 1,000 m², a wellness centre with sauna and spa, a 4-star hotel and extensive office space. For more information go to www.indoorgolfarena.eu

“We are currently involved in advanced talks and negotiations with a number of local councils regarding Indoor Golf Arena’s future place of business. There is also interest in establishing Indoor Golf Arena® abroad.”
Golf in The Netherlands has experienced enormous growth. Dutch Golf Federation says that that at the moment there are over 300,000 golfers in the Netherlands, a number that is increasing by 20,000 players per year.
