Visitors to one of Portugal’s premier golfing resorts will soon be able to relax in a luxury hotel – just a short chip away from the 9th green.
Bosses at the Vale do Lobo complex on the Algarve have given the go-ahead for a five-star hotel which is to be built in the traditional style of an 18th century Portuguese summer palace.
The Royal Golf Hotel, which will be operated by German hotel group Dorint, will offer 170 bedrooms and suites with views of the 18-hole course and the Atlantic Ocean.
As well as boasting underground buggy parking facilities for golfers, non-players will also be well catered for with fitness and leisure facilities on offer.
