The Mount Golf and Country Club near Wolverhampton has submitted a planning application to develop a state-of-the-art golf range facility, aiming to become one of the premier driving range and practice destinations in the Midlands.
The proposed facility will feature cutting-edge technology across 32 bays, including incorporating Trackman technology and luxury bays with dining and refreshments available.
This advanced setup will make golf more accessible to local residents at an entry-level, offering both practice and leisure opportunities. Additionally, the facility will include various family-friendly games and activities, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all.
The development plan also encompasses a new golf shop, expanded recreational spaces, and significant clubhouse improvements. Furthermore, the addition of paddleboard courts will enhance the club’s leisure offerings, providing top-tier sporting facilities to the community and improving access to one of the fastest-growing sports globally.
The club has received positive feedback from Golf England regarding the proposed facility and is excited to advance this ambitious project.
Director Scott Bernard says: “The local area is crying out for a premium practice facility for both competitive golfers and family and friends to enjoy making the game more accessible to new players and members and bringing hospitality into golf regionally.”
